Abstract Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts should report an original work that has not been previously published or presented in other conferences.
• All abstracts will be published in the conference book.
• Full paper will be evaluated for peer-review process and considered to be published as a proceeding paper in Conference Book.
• Selected high quality full papers will be invited for a full publication in the Journal of Health Science and Medical Research (Scopus indexed journal). https://www.jhsmr.org/index.php/jhsmr, as appropriate.
• We encourage the presenter to be register as on-site attendance; however, on-line registration is optional if necessary.

Abstract categories

Scientific abstracts for oral presentation of research related to the conference following topics are welcome:

  • • Global Health
  • • Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering
  • • Precision medicine and clinical bioinformatics
  • • Pharmaceutical, Clinical, Health, and Data Sciences
  • • Medical and Health Technology and Innovation
  • • Post-covid health inequity
  • • Monitoring and Evaluation of Healthcare

Abstract format

  • Abstracts should have a maximum length of 300 words and be structured as follows
    • Title should be brief but clearly indicating the content of the paper. Abbreviations may not be used.
    • Authors' names and their institutional affiliations. The name of the presenter should be underlined.
      1. 1. Background or Introduction
      2. 2. Objective(s) should be clearly stated.
      3. 3. Methods should contain sufficient detail to evaluate their appropriateness and novelty.
      4. 4. Results should be stated in sufficient detail to support the conclusions. Any abstracts containing “results will be discussed” or “data will be presented” will not be accepted.
      5. 5. Conclusions reached.

  • Indent each paragraph with a tab space before beginning the text.
  • Do not use underlining, bold, or capitalization for emphasis.
  • Do not include tables, graphs or figures.

Abstracts will be rejected if they do not comply with the above format. For full paper, it must be prepared as in the instruction for authors of the JHSMR - here - (Or download template here)

Instructions for abstract submission

• All abstracts and full paper must be submitted through the online abstract system. The presenting author will receive an email acknowledging that the abstract has been successfully submitted.
• The following contact information is required for the presenting author: first name, last name, department, institution, street address, city, state/province, country, phone number and a valid e-mail address.
• The abstract will be evaluated by at least two experts to rate whether the abstract is qualified and considered for oral presentation.
• The full paper will also be evaluated by at least two experts whether it is qualified for oral presentation and chosen to be published in the conference book or JHSMR.
• The presenters will be contacted and informed about the acceptance notification.

Presentations

The presenting author must be registered as a delegate to the conference after receiving notification for their abstract acceptance. The presenting author is responsible for all expenses incurred in the production of their presentations and for travel and accommodation during the conference. Please register as a delegate before 15 June 2023 to ensure that the abstract and full paper is published in the program book.
